We hope you find these files, which are the record of a meeting held in Erice in June 2004, both interesting and useful. These files may be used without charge for educational purposes. These files may not be redistributed without written permission from John Irwin, jji [at] cgl.ucsf.edu. Under optimal conditions, the video gives both audio as well as visual clues to advance the presentation, recreating some of the atmosphere of the original lecture. Praise and criticism alike is welcome at comments [at] crystalerice.org. This webserver is sponsored by the Shoichet Laboratory, University of California, San Francisco CA 94143, USA. The executive producer is John Irwin, whom you may blame for anything you do not like. Thanks to Armand Budzianowski and Kamil Dziubek, hpc.amu.edu.pl for expert assistance and a lot of hard work. Thanks also to Xiaodong Zou for her diligence in operating the video workstation.

We regret that the quality and completeness is not higher. This has been as much a research project as a production service, as we have been experimenting with (and trying to learn how to use) the technology – sorry that it shows so much. If you are on a slow connection, you may request a DVD from dvd [at] crystalerice.org.
The Video greeting from Herb Hauptman is here. (Quicktime 4 format)
